Clan Trophies: MPDC 26.01 and MPDC 26.02

Starting now, we are going to highlight all trophies earned by clan members in MPDC and SPDC. Hopefully this will be a nice tribute to the achievement of our members and a good way to keep you updated on the latest hot decks in Standard Pauper.

Season 26 started just like season 25 finished. GodZo, the greatest winner in past season took his updated White Weenie (or White Wine, as GodZo likes to call it) to victory on a remarkable 6-0 finish. GodZo led his deck in a field full of control until an easy finish against my Boros Tokens deck in the finals. GodZo's deck brings Sungrace Pegasus, Heliod's Pilgrim and Radiant Fountain from M15 to make WW even better with more lifelink and easier access to the auras he needs at the moment he casts the new cleric (which usually means Ethereal Armor). No heroics needed, neither Ajani's Presence.

That's right, next week we had round 2 and White Weenie won again. This time piloted by BigBee (who had great success with this archetype in the Theros season) and again with undefeated record (7-0). There were great amounts of other WW decks and many Dimir Mill decks too, not an easy environment for sure. The main differences from GodZo's deck are Ajani's Presence in place of Daring Skyjek, giving more resilience to the other creatures and additions to the sideboard in the form of Eyes in the Skies and Smite.

Season 25 had a diverse meta with many different winner decks. Season 26 starts with a dominating deck pretty soon. Be prepared to face WW in the next weeks.

Between both rounds we had the official return of SPDC, now on Sundays. The tournament had 9 players (a good number for starters, hopefully many more will join soon) and was won by WujekMZK and his Mono Black deck.
